Course 09 · Lesson 1 of 19
Source labels and price rules
| Label | Source type | How hard to lean on it |
|---|---|---|
| [V] | The competitor's own site, pricing page or press release | Firm for what they claim |
| [C] | A competing vendor's blog or comparison page | Indicative: say "published figures suggest" |
| [A] | A third party: aggregator, tracker, trade body, data vendor | Indicative |
| [P] | Press, filings, earnings releases | Firm for the date given |
| [R] | Review sites | A snapshot |
Every competitor price carries its date and source. Check before quoting if older than a quarter (anything before 19 July 2026 is marked). Prices are US dollars unless marked £; if a buyer wants pounds, convert on the day and say "roughly". Never round in Maktura's favour.
