Card 2: Hootsuite (Social OS, Wisdom)

Sales team2 min read
  • Their pitch: "Social OS" with Wisdom, a "social-first AI agent", across publishing, inbox, listening and advocacy (press release, 24 Jun 2026) [V].
  • Our edge: each person's own voice at team scale, governance in every seat, Holly's per-person trust ladder.
  • Ask: "What is their agent allowed to do on its own, and who decides that, person by person?"
  • Where they win: channel breadth, inbox and listening depth we do not try to match; years in market and a large review base; often already bought; external approvals, an advocacy product, connectors for outside AI tools. Price, honestly: per seat we are in the range of their middle tiers, and dearer at Standard. Our case is governance and each person's voice, not price.
  • Where we win (GREEN): each person's own voice at team scale, so twenty people do not sound like one brand account; governance in every seat (rules checked, approval chains, client sign-off; "The software is all in"); Holly's trust ladder, per person and reversible; simple for non-marketers.
  • Landmines: the agent question, then "Ask how it drafts for twenty different people so they each sound like themselves." "Ask what happens to a post that breaks your policy before it goes out." "Ask which plan includes the listening you saw, and how far back it looks."
  • If they say:
  • "We already use Hootsuite." Say: "Keep it if it earns its place; it schedules a brand page well. Our job is getting your people posting in their own voices, inside your rules. You could run both."
  • "Hootsuite has an AI agent now." Say: "Since June. Most tools have one, so the question is what it's allowed to do and who decides. With Holly you set that per person, and we recommend a person approves every LinkedIn post."
  • "We're locked into a contract." Say: "Then don't rip anything out. Run us alongside for your people; at renewal you'll have your own numbers."
  • Never say: "Hootsuite has no approvals" (it records external approvals in its publisher); "Wisdom can't publish" (undocumented); any Hootsuite revenue or contract-size figure; "We replace Hootsuite"; "We're cheaper than Hootsuite."
  • Switch story: usually a split: the company page stays; the people move with the standard switch kit.
  • Reference: Social OS renamed the products Perch, Nest, Lumen by Talkwalker and Parliament (advocacy); no pricing, autonomy levels or approval controls published (press release, 24 Jun 2026) [V]. Standard $99, Professional $199, Advanced $399 per user a month billed annually, per named seat (NapoleonCat, Oct 2026; Syncly, 17 Sep 2026) [C]; Postbeam lists Standard at $199 (14 Sep 2026) [C], so treat entry as $99 to $199. Full listening sources on Enterprise only (Syncly) [C]. Buyers: in-house social teams on many networks, agencies, mid-market and enterprise.
