The universal close: the first-call offer

Say

"Thirty minutes. We'll show you Holly drafting for someone in your role, on a demo workspace, and you can judge it for yourself."

A thirty-minute call with a nine-minute demo: a demonstration, not a promise.

  1. Who runs it. Until Dom provides a fictional demo workspace, only Alex or John Cooper demo, on a Maktura internal workspace using consenting colleagues' profiles, never real client data. Until D3 is decided, an NDA is signed before any demo unless John waives it in writing at booking.
  2. Before the call: ask their role and what their clients ask them. Never build their voice in advance.
  3. In the call: pick the colleague's voice closest to their role and type: "Draft three posts in [colleague]'s voice: one on [this week's story in their field], one on [a question clients often ask someone in their role], one on [a topic they care about]." Nothing client-specific; never draft from a client conversation, theirs or ours. Let them mark up a line and apply it.
  4. Their own voice, only if they ask. They may paste a few of their posts in on the call and you build a voice live, only with consent given on the call, treated as TEST FIRST, and deleted afterwards (consent wording pending Karl, D27). Never connect their LinkedIn account.
  5. Publish nothing. When they say "I'd post that", stop talking.
  6. The ask: "Does it make sense to [set up your team's voices next week]?" If not: "What's a good next step then?"
  7. Take risk off the table with one recommendation: Holly at Suggest (Observe for a regulated firm, D8), approvals on, onboarding booked, a 30-day review (onboarding and review subject to D31: John to confirm before you promise them).
  8. If Holly stalls, don't troubleshoot live: switch to Write and say, "It's a first release, and I said so." For a thin draft: "A thin voice makes a thin draft. With more of someone's writing, it has more to go on."
  9. After every demo, the reset checklist: delete any prospect voice, pasted text, client names and scheduled posts; disconnect any prospect connection. Never leave a demo post scheduled.
