The introduction process

Partner-safe1 min read
  1. Ask first. Before you pass anyone's details to us, get their agreement: "Happy for me to pass your details on?" Never send us a list.
  2. Register the introduction the same day with your Maktura contact (named in your agreement). Include your name; their name, firm and role; how you know them; the situation you spotted, in their words; confirmation they agreed; and the date. Registration is how you are credited, so do it every time.
  3. We confirm and reach out. We aim to confirm your registration in writing, and to contact the person you introduced (copying you in if you like), within one working day.
  4. What happens next for them. A thirty-minute conversation with the team, who show Holly drafting for someone in their role on a demo workspace. The team may ask them to sign a short non-disclosure agreement first. When they are ready, the team will set them up and take payment at sign-up. Larger or regulated firms take longer.
  5. We keep you posted when someone you introduced becomes a customer, or if the conversation ends. We share no commercial details beyond what your agreement needs.

How long a registration lasts, what happens if two people introduce the same firm, and when commission becomes due are set by your agreement. If your contact is already talking to Maktura, register anyway: we will tell you straight away, and your agreement decides who is credited.

Nothing more is required of you after the introduction. You are not expected to sell, negotiate, demonstrate or answer product questions. The worst thing a well-meaning partner can do is promise something on our behalf.
