Before the call

Sales team2 min read
  • Research (ten minutes): their LinkedIn (last post, burst-then-silence); how many of their team post ("14 consultants, 3 posted last month" opens your demo); one real story from their market this week; regulated? read Segment pitches; conflict check with John Cooper. Never name a client of any business.
  • Confirmation email: subject "[Day] at [time]: thirty minutes on Holly"; the offer above; unless John Cooper has waived it in writing, "Before we show you the product we ask for a short NDA, which John Cooper will send separately"; invite compliance or risk to join. If older material promised a demo "on your own LinkedIn" or "in your own voice", reset it: "We'll use a demo workspace. If you'd like to see Holly in your own voice, then on the call, with your OK, we can build it from posts you paste in." Never connect or log into a prospect's LinkedIn account.
  • The voice: never build a prospect's voice before the call. Default: a demo voice, said out loud ("This is a demo voice, built with a colleague's permission. Yours would come from your own posts or a five-minute interview."). Never say "in your voice" unless built from their writing. Their posts only on the call, with consent asked and given there (Test first), deleted in the reset unless they sign up. No writing of their own: offer the guided interview on a follow-up.
  • Environment: NDA signed or waived (else no screen share); you are Alex or John on the cleared internal workspace, signed in 15 minutes early; last reset done; Holly on Suggest for every demo person; approval required for every demo person and quiet hours as a second guard; one firm rule your step 2 line will trip; the pre-run done (next week's calendar filled with the week's real story in their market, three or four demo people, one line already caught and rewritten, all waiting in approvals, text-only); notifications off; share the browser window, not the screen.
  • Never open the daily digest (its heading says "New hot leads"). Skip campaign and audience panels that say "leads". Reports, share links, scheduled emails, Slack, campaign export and the audience view are AMBER until D1: never shown as a list of named people.

Write two or three possible next steps before you start (close rates were 71% lower where the first call had no next-step discussion; vendor data, correlational).
