69. "Do you lock me into a contract? Does it auto-renew?"#

USE AS WRITTEN. Close, GREEN ("no automatic renewals"); AMBER (contract shape, D18).

Say

"Nothing rolls over without a conversation: there are no automatic renewals. You start on a rolling monthly basis. To keep your founding rate long term you'll move onto a twelve-month agreement when the initial period ends; the exact initial period is in the terms you sign."

Ask: "Does that work for how your firm signs things?" Don't: state the initial period, renewal mechanics or cure window; name the software company whose auto-renewals gave the industry a bad name; volunteer "no automatic renewals" to every recruitment buyer.

70. "What happens to my price as we grow?"#

USE AS WRITTEN. Proposal, GREEN.

Say

"The rate follows the account, not the seat: seats you add later come in at your account's band. This is here for teams that grow, not for holding a place in the queue: if an account takes a single seat and then comes back much later wanting two hundred, we will price the new seats at whichever band is open then. If your team is genuinely growing, you will never come across this."

Ask: "How many people do you see on it in a year's time?" Don't: present future savings as money banked. Any other answer about seats added later carries this anti-gaming sentence, word for word.

67. "It's cheap. What's the catch?" / "It's an MVP, why pay now?"#

Proposal, GREEN (contract sentence USE AS WRITTEN; AMBER, D18).

Say

"The catch is honest: we're launching at minimum viable product. You're getting a better rate because you're using it early and helping shape it. There will be rough edges, and you'll have a direct line to the team. The rate you come in at is the rate you keep for as long as you stay subscribed. You start on a rolling monthly basis. To keep your founding rate long term you'll move onto a twelve-month agreement when the initial period ends; the exact initial period is in the terms you sign. If you'd rather wait for a more finished product, that's a fair choice, at whatever the price is then."

Don't: say "locked", "for life" or "cheapest it will ever be"; promise that feedback becomes features; give a fix date.
